Last March 20, 2008, at 6:30pm the children of UCG-Manila were recognized to their accelerated level, whether for the same Youth Bible Lesson training modules as continuing YBL students or the United Youth Corps as they graduated from the YBL. Continue reading »

It has been alive since 1995…at least that was the first time I encountered the pyramiding scheme other than network maketing, which is also a form of pyramiding, whether you agree or not.

From the internet, it soon propagated the tabloids. (The chain letter is also such, by the way, but chain letters were more personal while the more sophisticated pyramiding scheme that found itself under the ads section of tabloids were more the hit-anyone-who-cares kind.)

Many have fallen into its trap, Continue reading »

Never has it been that everyone got a job. The issue is always the rising rate of unemployment. One country is just worse than the other. What are we going to do about it? Are we just going to give up and stop looking?

    Maybe, maybe not.

    The New Bionic Woman

    March 11th, 2008

    by Cecile Cinco

I am not aware if the new Bionic Woman is already available locally. Right now, I’m watching the series online and I’m currently at watching episode 3.

Looking back, reminiscing the times I’ve enjoyed the original Bionic Woman in the 80s, back-to-back with The Six Million Dollar Man, I figure they have different story flow.

    The old bionic woman was

named Jamie who got into an accident and rebuilt with bionic features. The new (2007) bionic woman also named Jamie is the second model, also after having an accident. The first bionic, according to the 2007 story is named Sarah and she’s now the vilain.

I think the new series is much better since it grew with the technology at hand. If I remember right, it was even mentioned that it used to be merely in our imagination but now it’s real though still as a military experiment.

So, I think my buffering has ended and I can watch again for the continuation. :)

Have you seen it? What can you say about it?

The American Dream Collapsing The Economy?

    March 8th, 2008

    by Cecile Cinco

Back in the 90s, the people who watched TV are led to believe about the American Dream. People wanted to be that next millionaire. Everyone would dream of owning their house, their own car, and retire early. Almost anyone got their own credit card or even several of them just to fill up their house with new appliances, new clothes, eat at fancy restaurants, just to feel that temporary bliss when in fact they just get by. When the next Continue reading »

Being Debt-Free Is Challenging But Solvable

    March 8th, 2008

    by Cecile Cinco

Just like my previous post, being debt-free is challenging but solvable.

Who says that only the poor are in debt? The rich are, too! What’s the difference?

If debt can be sized up, let’s say 10 feet high, the poor can only have debt about 1 foot high but the rich people get into debt the full 10 feet.

What’s the difference? Oftentimes, the poor people get into debt not wanting to be in debt but the rich people decided to specifically go into debt even if he can afford not to. The first one is called necessity, the latter is called business and sometimes shrewdness.

The self-made rich people got rich Continue reading »

How To Remember 100 Items In 20 Minutes And Never Forget Them

    March 7th, 2008

    by Cecile Cinco

I haven’t done this for awhile but I used to when challenges were set.

I’m going to list down any item that’s tangible from 1-100, in no particular order…just about anything, without relation to each other, whatsoever except that all are part of the list below. What you’d like to accomplish is remember all the items and in so doing, you will also be able to identify what goes before or after a specific item.

To make it a challenge, before going through the technique, Continue reading »

One Important Ingredient Of Telemarketing That’s Often Neglected

    March 6th, 2008

    by Cecile Cinco

When I was new to the real estate business, I was taught how to talk through the phone. I may have been on the net way before I got myself into the real estate and I may have preferred the online communication than offline, I had to learn the old school way. I wanted to, anyway, so I know how to improve on it and combine what they know and what I know to turn it into something “magical.”

During my first few weeks of training, part of the training courses is Telephone Etiquette. Not that I learned only that time but what stuck in my mind was that you have to smile when you talk to the person listening to you at the other end of the line because it transcends the unseen barrier. If you smile, Continue reading »

Coconut virgin oil has been popular for quite some time now. If you search through the internet, all of them claim that theirs is the best but one point I’d like to let you know in case you’ve been drawn to believe that their produce is the best: If heat was applied, it’s no longer virgin. Also, avoid any metal to touch the coconut meat apart from the shredder.

It used to be Continue reading »
