Philippine Cultural Dances

by Cecile Cinco

YouTube has been one of the resources for video information. It is no longer the only one but still, it is standing like a walled city. Just like any information, not all may be true or edifying. You still have to discern what videos are good or bad to watch.

I know, it may have been proliferated with adult videos which YouTube cannot religiously police, but there are lots of good videos as well.

One of which is being able to watch Philippine Cultural Dances. I found one quite interesting:

My husband and I have been able to dance the Tinikling twice. We’re far from being dancers but it was part of the Festival Show during the Feast of Tabernacles that we celebrate every year, being affiliated with the United Church of God. Another Philippine cultural dance we were able to perform was the Sayaw Sa Banko which is a bench dance.

Caught up in the air as we changed places.
