I’m not really sure if it’s a problem with WP 2.5.1 but for the first time, I experienced a password looping problem. What exactly do I mean?
I tried to log in but when I could not, I requested a password reset. I received the email but when I clicked the link that’s supposed to reset my password, it says that the key is wrong. I tried it several times (cinco times, I think) but to no avail.
I could log into my FTP, though. So this time I downloaded a copy of my database before doing some experimentations. I’m sure if everthing was deleted and reuploaded, things will get back to normal but I didn’t want to get into the long process. I deleted the WP-ADMIN and the main folder content and reuploaded…still the same problem.
This time I deleted the database, created a new one with the same name and password that it used to have and ran WP-ADMIN/INSTALL.PHP….solved! It prompted me for the title and email and sent me the random password.
I was able to get in, change the password, reupload the old database, and that’s it! Back to life once again.
I just wonder now WHAT HAPPENED AND HOW IT HAPPENED. Is it a WP bug?

It happened again.
I can’t fix it yet. I just reformatted my hard disk and currently installing necessary apps. Why this looping is happening, I don’t know. Maybe it’s a bug of 2.5.1. I hope wordpress can do something about it.
