It’s About Time To Look For A Monitor/LCD Screen
by Cecile Cinco
We still use a CRT monitor. Recently we’ve been experiencing that the screen is turning dark that watching movies depicting a dark setting makes it difficult to appreciate what we’re watching. We have to switch off the room light in order to make that night vision a bit clear.
We have done some research and found out that it is better to have an LCD which is friendlier to the electric bill consumption and the environment but sadly, it is not that friendly to our pockets. Not that it is not worth the cost. Rather, we cannot yet afford it.
One day this monitor might just give up and I will no longer be able to see anything. Unlike the olden times during the XTs and the 286s and the operating system was a number two in Spanish (DOS), which cam be accessed and operated on even without a monitor as long as you memorize what’s going on, with today’s computers, that’s just impossible. (Come to think of it, just right now, can the accessibility feature work if the monitor just got black? I haven’t tried it but the blind can use the computer, right?)
I think I have enough LCD monitors to choose from around the globe. I am not limited to certain known stores which prices tend to go high since they are well known. The lesser known sites tend to put their prices down because their well known competition are selling with a higher price. These days, people are very concerned with price, though it is not the only concern. Perhaps I can find a store that is also nearby, then I can go to the store in person!
Another that we are considering is a laptop. It is still great to have everything portable.
Before we do, it would be good to review the buying guide so we can have an educated choice. What do you think of Averatec?
