It’s January 1, 2009. Last night, even before the clock striking twelve (actually even barely 10pm), noise pollution was everywhere. But guess what. My children and myself included slept over it. Hubby was watching a Bruce Willis movie replay from his DVD collection.
Even before new year’s eve, several have been rushed to the hospital for several cases of firecracker incidents. They never learn. On the other hand, there were less cases this year so those who learned are not part of those incidents last night. Some houses burned also. So sad.
As we grow old, we have different pains. Some come because of our own faults like not taking care of ourselves and others come because we are mere mortal. We deteriorate as we age so if we’ve been careless, deterioration will come much earlier than meant to be.
Sometimes it’s too late already before we learn the lesson. We can’t seem to be content learning from other people’s mistakes. We wait for them to happen to us before we believe that they are so. That is why remedies have been invented. Take for example joint pain cream which maintain healthy inflammation.
We’ve always heard, an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure but if you’re late, better is a pound of cure than none at all.
May your new year be less painful.
