I’ve got three girls. My eldest is 14, the second will be 12 next month and my youngest is only 9.
Wrestley, my eldest, is growing up fast. She eats a lot you would wonder where she is storing her food because she stays slim! Her shoe size is just one less mine! She also does not have to think about pimples or zits.
Recalling my teenage years, I was a happy-go-lucky girl. Well, sort of. I was not much concerned about how I look. Maybe because it was not a problem at all. I look simple and that’s just what I wanted. I’m not fond of makeup. I love my natural look.
It’s not the case, though, for most teens who always look at the mirror trying to get rid of that pimple. Picking it out while not yet time makes the situation worse. Unless they get acne treatment and get rid of bad habits making the situation worse, those teenagers suffer low self-esteem.
Aside from the physical treatment, here are some suggestions you can do to alleviate the situation:
- Don’t mind what others will think. If someone cannot accept you just because of your looks, that person may be shallow. What matters is having a good heart.
- Not minding what others think doesn’t mean not doing something to have yourself cured. Practice proper hygiene.
- Don’t put too much chemicals on your face. Most makeup is chemical-based. If you can’t go without makeup, use the hypo-allergenic types.
What’s your facial regimen?
