There are people who are good during emergencies and there are those who are not and all they do is panic and things get worse. Emergencies DO happen. It’s a good thought that an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.
Not only should you think of emergencies that might happen to yourself but also to those around you and do something preventive for which you have control over. This is especially true if you are the kind who panics when the emergency strikes. Your preparation will pay off when the emergency happens.
Take, for example, the exit sign. When papa was still alive, he would always check for exit signs or fire escapes when entering a building or looking for another place to move into. No one should be groping in the dark for the exit in case of emergencies. It’s got to be prepared for, for better chance of coming out alive and well.
