Certain people have more allergies than most. I have several allergies but I know some who are far worse than what I live with.
If you have allergies, you have to learn to live with it. It’s not fun having them but it should not be the end of the world for anyone suffering either. Some allergies can be deadly, though, so it is important to identify your allergens.
Being asthmatic, I’m allergic to smoke, fragrances, bad odors, dust and extreme heat or cold. Those are my allergens affecting my respiratory system.
My skin is not free from allergies too. I know someone who’s got skin asthma but it’s the worst case I’ve seen. The whole body is sore and flaky! When I was a teenager my hands get eczema when I use detergent soap. I’m not sure what made it stop. Change of brand, I think. I’m also allergic to gold, silver, hypo-allergenic jewelry, and all the more, fancy tin, stainless, bronze-made earrings, bracelets and necklaces. I don’t wear any. If I do, a day will not pass and I get rashes to start with. Watches are no different. Leather straps worn long enough make my skin irritated too. I don’t wear any watch anymore for more than a decade. Perhaps Swatch watches will do since the straps are made of rubbery plastic. As for now, my cellphone gives me the time.
Eating too much chicken affects my skin too. I get white embossed round spots on my face, arms and back and red embossed spots on my chest part and stomach. I think the hormones injected in commercial chicken is the culprit. I’ve noticed when the allergy manifests, the round spots appear on the same location. They just subside when not in attack mode. I don’t really eat seafood so I can’t say I’m allergic to it but just the smell of it gives me an attack, how much more if I ate it?
I’m generally allergic to makeup too. Good thing I’m not really fond of wearing any. I don’t like wasting my time in front of the mirror. So if you chance upon me with makeup, it’s either necessary or just a spur-of-the-moment.
