Film vs Memory Cards
by Cecile Cinco
It used to be that when special occasions occur come, we buy films to capture the moments. We go to photo shops to have them develop, then wait for days to get the ready made pictures. Later, developing days dropped down to 1 hour, then 30 minutes. We keep the film for later recopy. We buy albums to store our pictures for later reminiscing and sharing to friends and relatives who drop by our house for a visit.
Now that the digital age has evolved, we see more pictures. Lots and lots of them. Mainly because we don’t have to spend on film. We shoot and check if the picture is ok. If it’s not, we delete. With more storage places available on the internet, we upload as much pictures as we can. All you need now is just a digital camera or a camera phone with one of those memory cards that fit your gadget. To have a hard copy you just have to print on photo paper. Life has been cheaper and easier to live through with more captured moments.
