During this time when everyone is looking for a job and that there are more applicants now than the previous years, it is difficult for those hiring to get the right person for the job they need someone someone to fill.
Imagine yourself as the one looking for the right person. You get the word out that you’re looking. People of all sorts from everywhere dropped their resumes that would fill up an industrial trash bin. Your email gets full also because these days online application is the way to go. Your problem now is sorting out from all those applications.
Regardless whether the resume was professionally done or just typed using an old manual typewriter, with such bulk of incoming applications, I’m pretty sure you will get tired of reading through all them. You’re not just going to read them but you’re going to think whether the person is qualified or not. Unless, maybe, it’s what you only do 5 or 6 days a week, 8 hours a day, for the whole year and stay in the company you work for.
Why not, instead, ask the help of an Executive Search Firm? Then you have all the time to think of other more productive projects than later get sleepy as you sieve through the bulk of applications.
