Struck With Flu AH1N1?

Thursday evening, I went to bed early at 7pm. I just felt tired and sleepy that I foregone watching Terminator 2 with the whole family. Dinner was, as usual, early at 6pm.

At 1am, though, I woke up chilling while my youngest was perspiring. My skin wasn’t hot. Temp from my neck felt normal. I took the thermometer, though, and got a 38.6C.

I had no medicine to get the fever down. I drank water instead, prayed for healing and kept myself under the blanket. At 4am my temp was 38C.

Good thing it was Laguna Day so there were no classes for my kids. I slept till 9am. For the first time in so many months, on an ordinary day, the computer was off by choice. At 9am I was able to ask one of my kids to buy Bioflu which can be taken with an empty stomach.

I had sunflower seeds and boiled eggs for breakfast. Also lunch. Minimally eating, I was either asleep or in the toilet suffering diarhhea. I drank water with some rock salt to retain water in my body. In one instance I felt so weak while releasing. I knew the feeling. It was very familiar. I was bound to faint unless God hears my prayers. I wet my nape and my face with tap water. My stomach was hurting I didn’t want to get up sooner and make a mess later. I was anticipating to call on my eldest. I waited a little longer…then I finished, washed my hands and laid myself on the sofa. Thanks to God He did not allow me to faint. I knew it was very likely. I’ve fainted 4 times before. All the rest after that were near-fainting only.

Saturday morning my temp was still 38C. We decided that no one is going to Church to avoid being a carrier of the flu. At around 2pm. I was a lot better. At 5pm I was able to bathe with lukewarm water.

Was it an ordinary flu or AH1N1 virus? I don’t know. None in my family caught the flu, thanks be to God. Now I’m back to blogging. :)
