Technical Breakdown; When Your Computer Won’t Boot At All

by Cecile Cinco

Computer was offline for a few days. Work hampered though it was diverted to other work (still) like having my sewing machine finish its job.

Computer broke down. As in, it would not boot at all. After a day’s rest, it would boot but it would snap out of life just when the xp logo comes out. At this time when we are finishing 2 websites, this incident cannot be. The computer must work.

I tried to clean the processor’s heat sink. It was really dirty. When I separated the heat sink from the fan, the paste (forgot what it’s called) used to cool off the processor was not working…or it has reached its melting point…sort of. We bought one (single usage) and applied it. Now I’m fine. :)

So when your computer won’t boot at all, don’t rush to change the processor or the motherboard, which are very costly. Try that cooling paste (lol, can’t think of what it’s called up until now).
