Additional Farmville Features

by Cecile Cinco

Do you have Facebook? Have you heard of Farmville? It’s a game where you are a farmer and you have a field to care for. In your field you plow, plant and harvest crops. You also get to be gifted animals like chicken, duck, cow, horse, goat, rabbit, pig, and sheep. Some can be bought too.

Farm applications are growing in number at Facebook. Farm Town is the famous and most played but Farmville is another that provides something Farm Town doesn’t: the ability to harvest the produce of the animals. So you get to collect eggs of chickens, feathers of ducks, milk of cows, hair of horses, etc., etc.

Farmville is a solo act, which I hope will change. You plow and harvest your own. You have no way to hire workers for you, unlike Farm Town. Also, the ability to chat is another plus factor for Farm Town. So players stay not only because of  ”farming” but also for chatting. It relaxes somehow. Another suggestion would be adding poultry and cattle supplies so the farmer gets to feed them and give extra care for their needs. That would be totally new.

What do you think? Do you play Farmville? What features would you like added?

It would be fun if FarmVille would do a special animal adoption for, a bunny that gives easter eggs, a chicken that gives colored eggs, a rooster for the hens that gives baby chicks, maybe a bull, turkey for Thanksgiving, and maybe a reindeer for Christmas.

  2. Vince says:

Chickens kind of do give colored eggs because the mystery eggs are gold, brown, and white
