If You Can’t Beat Them, Join Them

Not at all times, though. You still have to weigh between good and evil. Definitely, good will overcome evil, even if it takes a little while longer.

What I meant with the title is the online commerce or e-commerce technology. Now, even small businesses can beat the big ones because they too can have the capability to Continue reading »

What Is YOUR Fat Burner?

November 27th, 2009

by Cecile Cinco

Everyone seems to want to be slimmer than what they are now. That includes me. Just a few minutes earlier, I went out to the subdivision’s office to make an errand. Just before 9am the sun is toooooo hot that even with an umbrella the heat penetrates. When I arrived back home to open the door, I accidentally hit the door with my arm and it was burning! Figuratively, of course. I perspired and almost had an asthma attack if not for the controlled breathing techniques I use. Continue reading »

If you are not rich, then you cannot buy a Ferrari, right? Some may argue just having been given one and it does not mean that the person is rich, right? Well, that surely is a rare happening that can be and should be celebrated! Is someone handing me a Ferrari? :) Anyone? Continue reading »

    Getting Mobile

    November 27th, 2009

    by Cecile Cinco

We are, with no doubt, in the mobility technology state of mind. As we get busy, running and flying from one place to another, at the same time wanting everything to be under our fingertips, mobility technology seems to be the answer to our communication needs.

About two years ago when the ASUS EEE PC got into the market, we wanted to buy one. It was the time when hubby wanted to go blogging as well and he can’t use what I’m using. Continue reading »

You may have heard “Stick and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.”

Is it true? I have never met anyone who has never been hurt even for once by words. “You are hurt most by the ones you love,” is true, though. Continue reading »

    Is Water Softener For You?

    November 24th, 2009

    by Cecile Cinco

What is hard water? Point-blankedly, my daughter answered: ice! :D

Kidding-aside, it is the most common water we have that comes out of the tap. It’s also what comes out of the well and even rain. It is very good for cleaning and watering (plants and trees) but it makes your kettle form lime. Life expectancy gets shorter for washing machines, dishwashers and water heaters. It is so primarily because of calcium and magnesium. Continue reading »

    Our Fishing Experience

    November 24th, 2009

    by Cecile Cinco

It has been 9 years ago when we moved to Talisay to take care of 8 cages of the GIFT (genetically improved farm tilapia) variety where the head is smaller than usual and the body bigger, hence, better for food consumption. The move was a result of my youngest brother’s thesis for which he was proclaimed the best in that year. The feasibility study was followed but scaled in half. The capital was supposed to be 1M. There was only 500k. Continue reading »

    Women’s Club For 2009-2010 Season

    November 24th, 2009

    by Cecile Cinco

Last Sunday was our first meeting for the UCG-Manila Women’s Club 2009-2010 season. It’s held every 2nd Sunday of the month except when it has to be rescheduled like the first meeting.

I am, once again, the Secretary. President is Rowena Decena, VP is Cora Evangelista (my mom), and Treasurer is Grace Remo.

We have discussed our plans for the year and what we want to achieve every meeting. Our club theme is “Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies” and we’re going to achieve that through various food recipes, crafts, mental and physical activities. Continue reading »

    Better Prepared Than Never

    November 24th, 2009

Is insurance good or bad? It depends on how you look at it. Generally, insurance is good. You get financial return for the loss of whatever it is you’re insuring which is a lot larger than what you paid for. Comparing it with a bank time deposit, it is still a lot larger.

When does it become bad? Continue reading »

As the days go by and we age by the year, our health goes down the drain if we do not take care of it. With so much cares to keep our mind focused on, we tend to neglect what makes us enjoy life better: good health. We get lazy to exercise, justifying that we have more important things to do. We just can’t buy the healthy foods offered at the grocery or market because the prices are way too high. Continue reading »

    Purging Love Handles

    by Cecile Cinco

Depending on how one looks at me, I can be called fat or slim. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and either can be beauty for one what may be the opposite of the other. Advertisements that spoonfeed the viewing public seem to be successfully mesmerizing (the public) in generalizing a rule for what beauty is: slim figure without love handles. :) Continue reading »

    C5′s Original Cheese Sticks

    November 19th, 2009

    by Cecile Cinco

This is as spontaneous as it can get. The other day I was referred to a Kraft Eden site and I found out I can be part of a world breaking record on December 14. I got excited as I’m a cheese eater and lover. I usually eat a whole bar of cheese (the small one). Especially when I run out of time to eat and I’d have to rush to a strenuous event like a bowling tourney. I usually buy a bar of cheese and a liter of choco drink. Heaven! Continue reading »
