Buying Time

by Cecile Cinco

I guess almost everyone has heard that time is gold. Time wasted is gone forever. What we opt to use the time for depends on us. Life confronts us always with a choice to make. Our clocks and watches goes forward. If it doesn’t, it merely stops and it never goes backward to gain lost time. Going back via a time machine is mere imagination and silverscreen.

We may not be able to get back lost time but we can maximize time. That means doing so much in as little time needed as possible. It also means getting the right information fast to make it useful…especially during emergencies.

It used to be that medical results take so much time to process that medication awaits for that result to be able to give the right prescription. Without the oximeter, only the doctors and nurses know what’s happening to the patient. Now, even the relatives of the patient can have a clue and can immediately call the doctor or nurse should the gadget shows distress signal.

Money is spent in the technology that makes you save on time, hence, you’re buying time. If you can multitask, which women can do better than men, you are buying time as well because more than one task gets finished at the same time…and it happens most often when there’s a computer involved like blogging while watching a movie. :)
