I’m not sure if I only missed it but I don’t remember noticing any cash register that has slots so its operator can merely shoot in the checks, debit/credit card receipts, and other pertinent papers inside the compartment that’s got its own lock.

What are they good for? Basically, for safety! If you put the big bills through one of the slots instead of merely letting it stay on top for easy access, it’s less likely to be grabbed in case of holdup or any attempted robbery…unless the thief brings the whole box, which is less likely since it is attached to the cash register. Right?
Ahh…that mmf drawer is something!
Safer.
