Job

by Cecile Cinco

Everyone is looking for a job. I suddenly recalled a joke:

Employer to employee: “You asked for a job, I gave you one. Now you’re looking for pay?”

Now, with that kind of mentality, you want to make sure, look for a job with pay! :D

Those without paying jobs are looking for one and those who hire try to lower the pay, as much as possible. Even with the labor law, many still manage to escape! Since the small guy is looking for money, he just accepts what is set before him. How pitiable!

At the time that nurses were the most needed jobs in America, many doctors in the Philippines took up nursing! Up until now, we have a lot of nursing students so they can land on a healthcare job…ultimately in America.

It’s sad they have to leave to make a living elsewhere when their skill is needed here more. What can we do? Unless the government does something with the salaries of people who are needed to stay, like doctors, nurses, teachers, police….the people who take care of the nation…they’ll always look for a greener pasture and go for it when opportunity arises.

I totally agree with that! They all leave Pinas for the American Dream. Ako naman for my Canadian Dream. :p

  2. Wow Cecile your doing some serious thinking about a very serious topic.
I was watching a show about your country and how America just came and took it as it was there right. Now many people here JOKE and feel bad that many jobs went there I was happy about it until I noticed there are hardly any jobs here. Tonight I decided I will work for bloggers sounds weird as most bloggers are broke but I can help coordinate many of there successes and build my own so that will mean something soon.
It’s hard all over I am poor right now living day to day and thank God my wife went to a nursing class and starts a job tomorrow but it’s a CNA which is the lowest rank so her pay is CRAP.
I was thinking a few minutes ago as I read you welcoming someone and thinking about you over the time I would like to be in a position to give someone like you a FULL TIME JOB based on American pay rates, I like you and Cindy and I have some very close friends (BLOGGERS) from there and always wanted to visit them, who knows a year from now we may all be dead or rich :) I will be thinking about you way over there your my friend now :)

Hello John! I’m glad you think I’m thinking seriously! :D

I pity the OFW (Overseas Filipino Workers) who go abroad to earn money and yet encounter a lot of problems that overall make them more in worse situation than when they left. For one, if you go abroad, all your relatives and friends look up to you as someone a lot better than them, financially. If you don’t help them, you may be thought of as selfish. I have a lot of OFW friends and I know how difficult it is for them. Although not every one of them gets difficulty, a handful make it big and successful and happy.

Relationship is priority for my family over money. We’ve had opportunities to work abroad but we declined them. Unless we ALL can go, we’ll all stay. Here, without money, we still are together. That’s why the internet is very important. I get to earn some while still at home.

Thank you very much for your friendship! :) May God bless your efforts and may BloggerLuv jump the heights it deserves. ;)

Looking to governments is what got us into the mess most countries are in today. People must create their own communities and make their own way in the world. A good place to learn more is the post I’ll put in CommentLuv in this comment.

There is much work to be done and a growing number of companies are interested in hiring for specific tasks. Being in a country where the exchange rate is favorable is a huge incentive to having companies hire you.

I am looking for workers right now. It doesn’t pay super well if you are in the U.S. but if you are somewhere else it can be good. Contact me if you’re interested. We need bloggers who can write English well to write and those who can’t can research.
