I miss my phone cam as it is no longer working well. I need to take pictures but my only cam has bid adieu.

I wish to have a very good, functional, lightweight, digital camera… I want the Nikon D3100. Why? Watch the video…

I need one to take pictures of my products (like the styro cutouts and craft works I do). I need it to take pictures of events and incidents. Oftentimes I see something worth capturing. I just don’t have the means to do so. Of course I’d need it especially when I go for trips especially when I get one of those Branson vacation packages!

With a digital camera, I can record our (each member of my family) lives in pictures… which I hope to be photographs.

Digital cameras are more bought these days than before. Not only can you see instantly what you are taking but it doesn’t cost you the film too. With higher resolutions coming out every few months or years, quality has become satisfying.

Owning a digital camera is one thing but caring for it is another. Just like any gadget, proper care is needed to make it last longer. You may be subconsciously aware how to care for your digital cameras but still, it may be that you don’t so here’s a list of what you should do and don’t do.

- regularly clean your digital camera

- handle all moving parts with utmost care to do unnecessary trips to the repair shop

- switch off the camera before connecting or disconnecting cable or removing/changing battery or memory card

- keep it in a dry place and away from condensation

- store it properly especially if you’re not going to use it for a long time

- avoid knocks, magnetic fields, vibrations, smoke, steam, water, sand, chemicals to meet your cam

- don’t store or place in humid, dusty and dirty places

- don’t subject it to extreme temperatures

- don’t place it in direct sunlight for prolonged times like in a parked car under the heat of the sun

- don’t drop in water unless it’s made for underwater

- don’t use canned air (most consumer digicams are not air-tight and canned air may blow dust into the inner part of the lens.
