When I was a child playing bahay-bahayan (as we call it) with my siblings was one of the exciting times then. Shredded and torn pieces of leaves often contain the toy plates for us to pretend eating. There was no separate small house. We just pretend there is. A cabana would be perfect with a small kitchen but we only had the garden. When we pretend to sleep we just bend our heads and do some snoring for about a minute! The game was all about cooking because it is what takes the time of the whole game! 

It looks like that kind of pasttime activity of children no longer exist today because of technology. Kind of sad.

I love the concept of Scrabble. It exercises one’s brain with regard to English vocabulary. We used to have a set until the letter chips have disappeared one by one. The board has been thrown away too for someone else’s use. I missed it, though. I have no budget to buy so I made a set myself. It’s even fits my bag’s pocket!

First, I searched Google for images of the board and the chips (letters), printed them out, cut the letters, made a box for the letters, and that’s it. I just enhanced the “board” so it is protected from easy damage by sandwiching it between two acetate sheets. The sew marks are the fold marks. In 2005, global sales were two billion dollars and by 2006 Bratz had about forty percent of the fashion-doll market.

This figure made the consumer think that Bratz will indeed change the fashion doll market that is dominated by Barbie. As of this time, the battle between these two fashionable dolls are on going; legal and market battle.

Well, for us consumers, its no secret that Barbie and Bratz are indeed the two most successful and fashionable dolls of this generation. Their market share says it all. Although Barbie dolls are still favored and loved by many, Bratz, on the other hand, is also making a name and brand that will capture their loyal supporters heart and imagination.
