Getting A Second Or Third Opinion

March 1st, 2010

by Cecile Cinco

When it comes to health issues, something you need treatment for , be it for some sickness, disease or even for beauty, it should be common for you to get a second or third opinion. Better a third so you get at least a 2/3 result.

Doctors are subject to human error too. Also, it’s better to ask friends you know about their experience with certain doctors or even the medicine they took. Some medicine or pills have side effects. Know from their experience. Like, if you’re planning to take some diet pills, ask around or you can look up particularly for xenadrine rfa x reviews if you’re considering it.

Getting a second or third opinion will only give you a better edge so practice it. :) It’s your self defense to a worse result.

What Is Your Skin Care Regimen?

February 21st, 2010

by Cecile Cinco

During my younger years, even up to now, I never had any skin care regimen except for bath soap and water as I bathe. I’ve tried Ponds for a short while but the regimen itself tires me and lessens the money in my wallet. Since I’m allergic to many things, I don’t wear makeup unless it is necessary. How To Prevent Hair Loss

February 21st, 2010

by Cecile Cinco

Hair loss comes early in life usually because of our own doing. Hair dyes, hairdryers and curling irons are the leading causes of hair loss for men and women. Hair coloring more than once within the 8-week period will make gravity stronger, causing hair fall. Braiding too tight stretches the hair is also a hair-fall contributor. Too much alcohol and tobacco not only causes hair to say goodbye to your scalp but dandruff is also caused. Illnesses and antibiotics weaken those grips to your hair follicles so as excessive shampooing and lack of sleep and off-time sleep. Also, avoid too much salt. Continue reading »

Am I that old? For some months now I’ve been suffering from joint pains. My finger joints hurt but not as much as my knees. Climbing the stairs is not easy. It gives me a hard time going up more than it is going down. My kids tease me that I’m already old but I have some friends who are a lot older and yet do not feel what I suffer. Continue reading »

    You Are What You Eat

    January 20th, 2010

    by Cecile Cinco

My mom used to say when we kids were little, “you are what you eat, so eat right.” Candies were banned and we ate brewer’s yeast and wheat germ…and I love them! In fact, just recently, I wolfed on some my sister gave me. Wheat germ, that is. None in my family liked it but I sprinkle it on my food and when I feel I had just a little, I’ll spoon some directly into my craving mouth. :) Continue reading »

    Cardiac Arrest Emergency 123

    December 18th, 2009

    by Cecile Cinco

With today’s unhealthy lifestyle, more and more people suffer and die from cardiac arrest. Is there anything we can do in the early stage before the dreaded arrest happens?

The first use of a defribillator on a human being was in 1947 when Claude Beck used the technique on a 14-year old boy who was being operated on for congenital chest defect. The defribillator was used on the open heart. It was a success but since that time it has improved a lot too that even people with no knowledge whatsoever as long as you can follow simple instructions. Continue reading »

    What’s Your Acne Solution?

    December 18th, 2009

    by Cecile Cinco

When I go out to go shopping or for a ride from one place or another, I can’t help but notice that in a crowd of 20, there is one whose face is not sightly appealing. I’m not even talking about contour or shape but the skin itself.

Frankly, it has never been my problem. I don’t put on makeup so maybe it is a factor. Being allergic to so many allergens I am wary to put stuff on my face. I notice, though, when I eat chicken often, I get red and white polka dots bevelled on my skin like my face, back, chest and arms. Having asthma, I guess it is my dillema. No solution could give it a cure but to avoid the allergens. Continue reading »

Everyone seems to want to be slimmer than what they are now. That includes me. Just a few minutes earlier, I went out to the subdivision’s office to make an errand. Just before 9am the sun is toooooo hot that even with an umbrella the heat penetrates. When I arrived back home to open the door, I accidentally hit the door with my arm and it was burning! Figuratively, of course. I perspired and almost had an asthma attack if not for the controlled breathing techniques I use. Continue reading »

As the days go by and we age by the year, our health goes down the drain if we do not take care of it. With so much cares to keep our mind focused on, we tend to neglect what makes us enjoy life better: good health. We get lazy to exercise, justifying that we have more important things to do. We just can’t buy the healthy foods offered at the grocery or market because the prices are way too high. Continue reading »

    The Blue Advantage
