by Cecile Cinco

Being in sales is not my cup of tea. Whatever I have sold, I’m sure my God gave it to me. I don’t have the capacity or guts to actually go out and knock from house to house just to go about my sales presentation. In fact, the reason I’ve set up my own real estate website is because I wait for people to come to me since I have the information they need. I’m not selling anyone anything. I’m helping them own their house to call their home.

I’ve also been into selling insurance. Check the ICQ UIN (for those still familiar with ICQ) 8661484, the handle is Life Provider. That’s me. I provided life insurance at that time. To own a 7-digit ICQ UIN means it’s been too long ago that it existed. I wasn’t successful selling insurance. If life insurance lead existed at that time, the story may be different.

The backbone of every salesperson is having prospects or leads. Without them there’s nothing to present to. If, for every ten person presented to, one buys, how many leads do you need to reach your personal sales goal?

As the President-elect Barack Obama said about the financial crisis during his first press conference…

“Tens of millions of families are struggling to figure out how to pay the bills and stay in their homes. Their stories are an urgent reminder that we are facing the greatest economic challenge of our lifetime, and we’re going to have to act swiftly to resolve it.”

What is our solution? How do we face this problem? One of the answers is to have more jobs available. You can search for retail jobs online and many of them would only require a high school diploma so you cannot reason out that you don’t have a college degree.

Most jobs available has something to do with merchandising. So as long as you know what you are selling (you’ll be trained for sure), the opportunity to earn is within your reach, provided you have that willingness to start with.

by Cecile Cinco

The world may have gone smaller and smaller, thanks to the technological advancement of the internet, making friends from all over the globe, from almost all walks of life, has become a lot easier and faster than hunting through the classifieds section of an ads paper, write with a pen, on stationery.

In actual writing with a pen over paper, a lot is being revealed about the writer, especially under the noses of those who can understand handwriting analysis. On the internet, however, you just cannot tell.

Revealing your identity over the internet would mean two things. Either something bad happens to you because everyone can track you down or, especially if you are a netepreneur, you add to your credibility, and that’s the good point.

Having been a friend of the internet since 1994, I’ve seen the development of it, both the good and the bad. I’ve revealed myself through many avenues including profiles. My blogs would support several profiles I have. The credibility, for me, is more important than the fear of the unknown. What if someone scams me? What if someone is just nearby and tracks me where I live? Those are fears many do share over the internet but still, they are just fears of something that is yet to happen IF ever they would happen. Surely, care must be taken.

If you are in business over the internet, you will do all your best to set up a good profile otherwise the doubting public will scrutinize you, or not bother at all. Take, for example the EcoQuest International profile. What do you think of it?

It is September. Once the “ber” months start, time always seems to be so fast and before you realize it, the year is ending.

While many would be looking forward for the red holiday, business people are getting ready to be armed with their promotional items to give aways in the hope of getting repeat business or making new ones.

We used to be offering calendars as part of our printing business way back when. Did you know that it takes as early as July for these business owners to think of getting their marketing props? They wanted to be sure that they will not be dragged towards the end of the year before their giveaways be produced. With so many businesses thinking the same thing, and with so many actually existing, getting ready before others block your way, really matters.

by Cecile Cinco

It started when I was curious about ‘Craiglist Exposed’ but found out that the ebook is for sale from $1.99 to $79. I searched and searched, looking for the same but free. If I can get it for free, why not? These could be the way I can get disney world tickets!

As I searched, I not only found the particular ebook I was looking for but several others, in fact, a lot others, that are useful to help me make money online and develop my online skills.

The list below is what I found, all for free if I join for free, and I even get a $10 sign-up bonus.

All I have to do is visit the ads sent to me and I earn points. The number of ads depend on the categories you ticked. A maximum of 10 ads per day will be sent to you so if you visit them all, you get 10 points. It’s basically an advertising pool and you get a share depending on your effort.

You can get paid by cheque or by PayPal when you reach payout level which is $50 for PayPal and $55 for cheque.

The downloadables are already a great resource for me, which is what triggered me to sign up. I think it would benefit you too so you might as well want to take the opportunity while it’s available.

We still use a CRT monitor. Recently we’ve been experiencing that the screen is turning dark that watching movies depicting a dark setting makes it difficult to appreciate what we’re watching. We have to switch off the room light in order to make that night vision a bit clear.

We have done some research and found out that it is better to have an LCD which is friendlier to the electric bill consumption and the environment but sadly, it is not that friendly to our pockets. Not that it is not worth the cost. Rather, we cannot yet afford it.

One day this monitor might just give up and I will no longer be able to see anything. Unlike the olden times during the XTs and the 286s and the operating system was a number two in Spanish (DOS), which cam be accessed and operated on even without a monitor as long as you memorize what’s going on, with today’s computers, that’s just impossible. (Come to think of it, just right now, can the accessibility feature work if the monitor just got black? I haven’t tried it but the blind can use the computer, right?)

I think I have enough LCD monitors to choose from around the globe. I am not limited to certain known stores which prices tend to go high since they are well known. The lesser known sites tend to put their prices down because their well known competition are selling with a higher price. These days, people are very concerned with price, though it is not the only concern. Perhaps I can find a store that is also nearby, then I can go to the store in person!

Another that we are considering is a laptop. It is still great to have everything portable. Before we do, it would be good to review the buying guide so we can have an educated choice. What do you think of Averatec?

Did you notice that advertisements are geared towards getting the approval of kids and women? Why not? Kids and women are mostly at home more than the men. Besides, if men were at home, it would be most likely that they are watching their favorite sports channel…and that sports channel will be the avenue for advertisers to show their products geared towards men like an energy drink. (With the popularity of work-at-home jobs, everyone will be at home!)

Since most women do housework, the ease of work would be in her mind so she can do other things. More often than not, the TV is on to keep her company. That’s when she goes to a channel that showcases different household items like some do-it-all blender, easy-wash-and-all-in-one vegetable slicer/grater/mincer, handy-and-suck-all vacuum cleaner or not-only-floors-but-also-walls-and-windows all-around mop. On the health side, it has always been on TV anything that has to do with getting those abs flat from something handy like waist band and those butterfly things with tiny electrical pulses that tickle you (forgot the name) to big items that you ride on to get all the exercise you need.

As I walk the market’s dry section or even some department stores and malls, I see these items with a tag or sticker “As Seen On TV!” They are not related at all to those selling on TV! Why? I guess because TV works!

Those who are interested and able at that moment, will call, primarily to get certain discounts when they do within a certain amount of time.

So if you are selling something, you might want to consider the TV but be sure to find reputable direct response advertising agencies before doing something drastic.

In any selling, a sale comes from something. It could be from advertisements, which almost everything you see out on the streets are. The TV, most especially, making you even spend to be advertised to. It can also be a word of mouth or a referral. Someone got satisfied and you got another sale. It can be through some telemarketing or fax marketing and by this it means your come-on is catchy enough. It can also be that you joined some mailing lists that gets you updated on what’s the latest offer.

Whatever the marketing technique was used it is called prospecting or getting a lead. But you don’t want just any lead. You want to have a qualified lead to get a higher batting sales average.
