<p>This is as spontaneous as it can get. The other day I was referred to a <a href="http://www.sarapngbuhay.com/">Kraft Eden</a> site and I found out I can be part of a world breaking record on December 14. I got excited as I&#8217;m a cheese eater and lover. I usually eat a whole bar of cheese (the small one). Especially when I run out of time to eat and I&#8217;d have to rush to a strenuous event like a bowling tourney. I usually buy a bar of <a href="http://www.sarapngbuhay.com/">cheese</a> and a liter of choco drink. Heaven!<span id="more-1134"></span></p>
<p>Back to the Kraft site. My thoughts churned. My imagination rolled. I wanted to conceive an idea and contribute to the <a href="http://www.sarapngbuhay.com/">cheese recipes</a> already existing. I wanted it my own. I also wanted it simple and economical yet special. Something that will make one crave for more.</p>
<p>Yesterday, I asked my eldest to buy the ingredients on her way home. This morning, an hour ago, I executed what brewed in my mind. It came out perfect for the first try. Just what I imagined. Below is the recipe and pictures taken were the first set&#8230;then I ran out of fuel. Good thing the first set was already perfect. <img src='http://ceefive.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><a href="http://sarapngbuhay.com/view_recipe.php?val=60"><strong>C5&#8242;s Original Cheese Sticks</strong></a></p>
<p><strong>Ingredients:</strong></p>
<p>1 bar Kraft Eden cheese, sliced about half an inch thick then cut lengthwise in half so you get about 1/2 in x 1/2 in x 1 1/4 in.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1135" title="cheese-sticks-c5s-cheese-sticks" src="http://ceefive.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/cheese-sticks-c5s-cheese-sticks-300x225.jpg" alt="cheese-sticks-c5s-cheese-sticks" width="300" height="225" /></p>
<p>corn starch (left) and granulated breading (right)</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1136" title="corn-starch-granulated-breading-c5s-cheese-sticks" src="http://ceefive.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/corn-starch-granulated-breading-c5s-cheese-sticks-300x225.jpg" alt="corn-starch-granulated-breading-c5s-cheese-sticks" width="300" height="225" /></p>
<p>1 egg, beaten, with a pinch of rock salt (I don&#8217;t use table salt because it&#8217;s chemical-based. With rock salt, I can be sure it came from the sea.)</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1137" title="beaten-egg-c5s-cheese-sticks" src="http://ceefive.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/beaten-egg-c5s-cheese-sticks-300x225.jpg" alt="beaten-egg-c5s-cheese-sticks" width="300" height="225" /></p>
<p>and some oil for frying (deep frying is NOT necessary).</p>
<p><strong>Procedure:</strong></p>
<p>1. Dip cheese stick in egg.</p>
<p>2. Cover with corn starch.</p>
<p>3. Dip again in egg.</p>
<p>4. Cover with granulated breading.</p>
<p>5. Set aside and repeat for each cheese stick you prepared.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1138" title="ready-for-cooking-c5s-cheese-sticks" src="http://ceefive.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/ready-for-cooking-c5s-cheese-sticks-300x225.jpg" alt="ready-for-cooking-c5s-cheese-sticks" width="300" height="225" /></p>
<p>6. Prepare your pan with some oil and with medium-low fire.</p>
<p>7. Put enough enough cheese sticks with enough room for turning and enough time to turn when golden brown (not charred).</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1139" title="frying-c5s-cheese-sticks" src="http://ceefive.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/frying-c5s-cheese-sticks-300x225.jpg" alt="frying-c5s-cheese-sticks" width="300" height="225" /></p>
<p>8. Turn each stick upside down when golden brown. It takes about 1 minute only before it does turn golden brown.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1140" title="golden-brown-c5s-cheese-sticks" src="http://ceefive.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/golden-brown-c5s-cheese-sticks-300x225.jpg" alt="golden-brown-c5s-cheese-sticks" width="300" height="225" /></p>
<p>9. Deoiling. Lay down fried cheese sticks on absorbent napkins for easy deoiling (I don&#8217;t know how it&#8217;s officially called in recipe terms).</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1141" title="deoiling-c5s-cheese-sticks" src="http://ceefive.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/deoiling-c5s-cheese-sticks-300x225.jpg" alt="deoiling-c5s-cheese-sticks" width="300" height="225" /></p>
<p>10. Plating. Serve with tomato catsup or mayo or thousand island dressing. I prefer hot sauce but I don&#8217;t have it right now. You can also use gravy or sauce.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1142" title="plating-c5s-cheese-sticks" src="http://ceefive.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/plating-c5s-cheese-sticks-300x225.jpg" alt="plating-c5s-cheese-sticks" width="300" height="225" /></p>
<p>This is my YUMMy contribution! <img src='http://ceefive.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> <em>Lasang ulit!</em></p>
