Age Of Reason

April 27th, 2010

by Cecile Cinco

As a toddler, you really don’t care about anything else except to eat when hungry, sleep when sleepy, play and look for mama.

When you start school, all of the WHYs have been asked.

As a teenager, it’s time for curious minds to explore. Continue reading »

Crisis, Crisis!

April 16th, 2010

by Cecile Cinco

The world is generally under crisis. Any optimistic person can feel it!

Yesterday my electric (Meralco) bill came. I used to consume and pay around 400 to 500 pesos but now I’m billed 1,133! Meralco gave warning that they will make an increase but this is sooooo much! Imagine, 95kwh for 1,133! It used to be that as long as you stay under 100kwh, bill will just be around P600! Continue reading »

Moving Again

April 9th, 2010

by Cecile Cinco

Last Wednesday I was able to go to the place where we are moving to next. Yes, it’s another move. My whole life I think I have moved more than 30 times! It may be tiring but after some time you get used to it. Good thing for me I don’t have much items to move. Talk about the benefit of being poor! LOL! Continue reading »

Dealing With Change

March 12th, 2010

by Cecile Cinco

What’s the only thing permanent in this world? Change.

We change. Our ages change every second, minute, hour, day and year. Our bodies grow feeble and weak. Our surrounding changes with us. The wind blows and everything’s affected.  Our thoughts change. One minute we’re thinking of something, the next minute it’s another. It is change itself that is permanent so we’ve got to deal with it every day of our lives. Continue reading »

Getting A Second Or Third Opinion

March 1st, 2010

by Cecile Cinco

When it comes to health issues, something you need treatment for , be it for some sickness, disease or even for beauty, it should be common for you to get a second or third opinion. Better a third so you get at least a 2/3 result.

Doctors are subject to human error too. Also, it’s better to ask friends you know about their experience with certain doctors or even the medicine they took. Some medicine or pills have side effects. Know from their experience. Like, if you’re planning to take some diet pills, ask around or you can look up particularly for xenadrine rfa x reviews if you’re considering it.

Getting a second or third opinion will only give you a better edge so practice it. :) It’s your self defense to a worse result.

Minimize Heavy Traffic

February 28th, 2010

by Cecile Cinco

In the Filipino vernacular, when you say it’s traffic, it means the traffic is heavy. Technically there is always traffic. It’s just either light or heavy…or a little in between and over.

The only traffic we would like to be heavy is internet traffic. That is, if you are the owner of the site. If you’re the end user, internet heavy traffic will be your patience’s trial.

Road traffic is best when it’s light. We all have to do our part to contribute in making the traffic light. Continue reading »

    Having More Or Having Less

    July 5th, 2009

    by Cecile Cinco

Humans in general desire to have more and complain of having less. More money, more space, more food, more gadgets, more toys, more vacation time, more idle time.

Others, though, are content with what they have. Some, don’t dream of anything at all, stuck to the idea that there is no hope for them like the street bums.

Along the squatters area, you can see people barely having anything to cover their body. If ever, they look like rags. You see many children. You’d wonder, how on earth they were able to produce more children when they don’t have much to feed them? But along with those lack, you see them playing around, smiling, laughing, barely thinking of any care in this world. To them, that moment is their moment and they have to make the most out of that very moment. Continue reading »

Accidents Do Happen And Sometimes We Choose It

    April 6th, 2009

    by Cecile Cinco

In 1991, while on a company trip to Mindoro to teach computer literacy, I was able to have the opportunity to learn how to ride a motorcycle. Since I was very good in pedalcycle, this new learning was quite easy. The person who taught me was riding with me. Besides, I could not ride alone since I had no driving license of any sort. During my week-long stay I became very good. On the 3rd day, actually, I was driving the highway at 75kph. But that’s the highway, plain straight and not much oncoming vehicles so that was quite easy. Continue reading »

    Liquid Assets vs Solid Assets

    January 15th, 2009

    by Cecile Cinco

If at all possible, it is good to have both solid (real estate) and liquid (cash) assets. If you are limited, though, and you have to choose one or the other, what would you choose?

Perhaps it depends in your goal in life. Continue reading »

If You Have A Choice And Control Over The Situation, What Kind Of Job Do You Like And Where?

    April 16th, 2008

    by Cecile Cinco

A lot of people complain about their jobs. Many would say that they’re just there for the money but they really do not like the job.

For others, they have no choice because it’s what’s available, and if they don’t take what’s available, how can they fulfill their cost of living?
