Using a desktop computer is still better compared to laptops when it comes to image editing or even blogging. You have a wider screen, a bigger (standard) keyboard so you will not strain your eyes that much and you can rest your hands better on the keys. While there are laptops having standard-sized keyboards, many are small.

At the absence of desktops, though, laptop computers are great for emergencies and mobility. It is also using less of your electricity, thus, having a lower electric bill.

A few days ago the technical world of computers and mobility were saddened at the loss of Steve Jobs. After all the stuff that he created that starts with an ‘i’ like iMac, iPod, iPad, iPhone, and now iDead, suddenly there has been a surge of people wanting to own an iPhone, at least. No one knows if it will still continue. Who knows there are hidden designs for future upgrades? Are you one of the fans of the iStuff? Then you might want to buy some iPhone covers to last you some more years so that you can give the maximum protection for your precious unit. Grab the chance now while you still can.

by Cecile Cinco

My current phone is pitiful. One day it would not function at all. The keypad is stuck somehow. The only thing that worked then was the “enter” key but several presses will just end up with the camera. I brought it to the service center. It was opened and cleaned but nothing happened. I was told that parts are rare and will probably be just a part of a dead phone with other parts still working.

When the case was opened, an opening plastic tool was used sliding through the housing opening. When he assembled back the parts, it would never shut close perfectly again. I had to put a clear tape around. I learned months later that the reason the camera was capturing rainbowy shots is because of the loose housing. That is why when I take pictures, I had to press close the front and back of the center right of the phone. When the serviceman gave the phone back to me, he said there is nothing else he could do. When my youngest daughter “played” with it (her limited way of tinkering), though, she was able to make the messaging work (that is, the keypad got to function again). After more than a year, the same phone is still working somehow but the joystick “down” fails about 90% of the time and I use that about 50% of the time!. The battery (still the original one) has to be recharged several times a day. Making or taking a call will drop the battery dead even for just a few minutes of call.

I need a phone replacement! Will somebody give me a Samsung Gravity?

The Philippines has been known to have to kinds of climate: hot and hotter. It gets cold when there’s storm and the coolest month is February. In summer months, if you want some cool weather, you go up to Baguio and the whole city is like centrally cooled. The taxis don’t use their airconditioning. Instead, if you want the cold breeze, open the window, and if you want to get warm, stay inside the closed taxi. Of course, the coldest time in Baguio would also be in February.

It’s not as cold as the snowy places, though. In fact, Baguio City even had a manmade snow just tohave a feel of “White Christmas” last December. To my friends who suffer the cold snowy months, I hope you’re still enjoying life as it is. Have some heated mattress pads when you sleep so you can also enjoy sleep while it is so cold outside. Do some craftwork or something you enjoy doing so you overlook the down side of the freezing weather. Sometimes mind diversion eases the pain.

The ban in New Zealand started in 1984. In the United States, the ban was issued in 1989. In New Zealand, the ban was introduced in 1991….Yet, many are affected and still live until now, more likely in the worst of health.

What can these victims do to alleviate their suffering? They can approach a legal councelor with regard to mesothelioma and take it from there. Many just do not know that it exists.

It was so jam-packed that men and women were standing on every spot one can stand on. Other men were even “hanging” by the door, their bodies out of the bus and just holding on to the handle on both sides of the door. That was way before the traffic rule that the door must be closed when driving through the highway was strictly imposed.

One of those hanging by the door was a macho man in a corporate attire. He was quite big, stocky, muscled. Then the rain suddenly fell. “Ay nakwoo! Ano va yan! Navavasa akwoh!” (Gay speak of “Oh no! What’s that!? I’m getting wet!”) Those by the window that saw him could not only hide their chuckle…including myself. It was just unexpected! Not the rain, but his action!

It seems to be a waste of effort, being all manly yet you’ll find out later that he’s girly! Some real men would even go for natural male enhancement to be manly enough because they seem not so. How they’d wish they got that from that macho body who got wet under the rain!

They want to be as normal as possible. For the family and loved ones that care for them, though, all they want is to make it easier for theim to be able to move around so they will get as little attention from their families and friends, which is what they want anyway.

Oftentimes the handicap or disability has something to do with the legs, lower half of the body or left/right side of the body. In any case, movement is difficult. Movement within the house may not be so much an issue but if limited within the house, life gets boring. Surely they want to go out and move around as normally as possible.

NMEDA solves that part of the problem. With mobility solutions like crafting the van to accommodate wheelchairs, lifts and ramps, it sure makes life easier for the handicap. Attention can then be focused on greater things like learning (every day is a learning experience!), hobbies, or even having their own business. In short, they have to be productive as well because productivity is what makes life worth living.

Go ahead and enter your zip code so you can find a dealer in your area.

I suddenly recalled a joke:

Employer to employee: “You asked for a job, I gave you one. Now you’re looking for pay?”

Now, with that kind of mentality, you want to make sure, look for a job with pay!

Those without paying jobs are looking for one and those who hire try to lower the pay, as much as possible. Even with the labor law, many still manage to escape! Since the small guy is looking for money, he just accepts what is set before him. How pitiable!

At the time that nurses were the most needed jobs in America, many doctors in the Philippines took up nursing! Up until now, we have a lot of nursing students so they can land on a healthcare job…ultimately in America.

It’s sad they have to leave to make a living elsewhere when their skill is needed here more. What can we do? Unless the government does something with the salaries of people who are needed to stay, like doctors, nurses, teachers, police….the people who take care of the nation…they’ll always look for a greener pasture and go for it when opportunity arises.

As a toddler, you really don’t care about anything else except to eat when hungry, sleep when sleepy, play and look for mama.

When you start school, all of the WHYs have been asked.

As a teenager, it’s time for curious minds to explore.

Beyond 20 up to 35 perhaps, you go gaga over work. Still experimentation here and there happens. It’s a happy-go-lucky time after work.

When you reach 40, though, you begin to think of all the things you’ve done in your past. You think of all the scams you’ve been through.

Beyond 40, you become more health-conscious. You want to live longer without the side effects of whatever it is you would to prolong your life. You begin to think of colon cleansing to remove all the toxins in your body.

Halt! It’s the age of reason…always think before you act. Before you buy, you should check first several colon cleansing product reviews…then you can decide intelligently.

The world is generally under crisis. Any optimistic person can feel it!

Yesterday my electric (Meralco) bill came. I used to consume and pay around 400 to 500 pesos but now I’m billed 1,133! Meralco gave warning that they will make an increase but this is sooooo much! Imagine, 95kwh for 1,133! It used to be that as long as you stay under 100kwh, bill will just be around P600!

Good thing I have additional earnings online but another bad news approached when I got my earnings. Conversion from US$ to PhP is P43 only! That means when I withdraw, I get less money for the usual.

That is bad news for America as their dollar is getting lower but that means good news to the Philippines as the peso gets higher. Bad news only for me and for the others who earn dollars online and must convert to the local currency.

In this situation, the more we should check all life insurance online quote we can get before we buy. Every cent matters.
